To provide adequate training to all the medical lab personnel on all issues pertains to QMS and the internal audit as per the APLAC/ILAC/AB requirement
To meet the growing needs and expectations of diagnostic laboratories, Foundation for Quality (India) a nonprofit organization was set up in March 2013. Since then it has been organizing various types of certificate programmes for medical laboratory professionals like – Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics and technologists, Molecular diagnostics, Imaging (Radiology), and other disciplines. They are from laboratories that have accreditation by NABL. FQI has trained more than 25000 laboratory professionals on how to conduct audits of medical laboratories and on the development of quality management systems, as per the ISO International Standard- “ISO 15189: 2012 & 2022 – Medical laboratories-requirements of quality and competence”.
These programmes are conducted by a team of well-experienced, qualified, trained and able assessors of NABL (NATIONAL ACCREDITATION BOARD FOR TESTING AND CALIBRATION LABORATORIES). FQI has also been organizing training programmes in countries such as Iraq, Nepal, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Maldives and Bangla Desh and we have trained more than 3500 professionals outside the country. . Training will be imparted on personnel management, organization and management responsibility, quality management system, document control, service agreements, external services and supplies, resolution of complaints, control of non-conformities, corrective action, preventive action, continual improvement, control of records, audit, ensuring the quality of examination results and laboratory information system. The participants will also be trained on how to obtain NABL accreditation.
FQI Activities

3. Hand holding and training for International accreditation of Medical Laboratories as per ISO 15189 and Hospitals for ILAC Certification (Like NABL, NABH, QCI, etc.)
4. Continuous Medical Examination programs by Expert speakers across the world (We have a page for this)
5. Certification program in association with DNA Life for the farmers who are into Natural and Organic Farming (New page to be created with a sample certificate)
6. Publication of Journals regarding Medical Laboratories
7. Phlebotomy training in association with BD.
Apart from certification programmes, FQI Under the guidance the leader ship of Dr. Venkatesh
Thuppil, Lead man of India, is also into accreditation of Gram Panchayat and Other Municipal Bodies. FQI is also into Accreditation of Homestays in India. And will be launching Playground Accreditation program very shortly.

and overseas FQI undertook the task during the war period in Iraq in which the Lead Man of India Dr Thuppil Venkatesh & chief faculty of FQI, Professor P D Sawant provided the technical support to the Medical laboratories in Iraq. This is for the first time in the history of an Indian organization, FQI providing such exemplary service to the humanity in the field of medical services.
Before attending the FQI Training, the “Quality” was a boring subject to me in spite of working in Medical Laboratory. But now after attending the FQI session, I understand the importance of Quality.
