Shashidhara with Engineering, Science and Media qualification & background has over 30 years of experience in popularizing science by the use of diverse media for communication – While working for Visvesvariah Industrial & technological Museum (National Council of Science Museums, Govt. of India).

 

Shashidhara has expertise in conceptualizing, exhibits & making models in the area of science, environment, health, and technology. Working with the vision of bringing science to the masses Shashidhara has traveled extensively in India including remote villages. His special focus during his MS in New School for Social Research & New York Institute of Technology USA was on – Impact of Science & Technology on Society.

 

As a proponent of Lead Awareness, he integrates his diverse experiences and background in media and education in conceptualizing, developing, and conducting programs throughout India.

 

AT National Referral center for Lead (Pb) projects in India (NRCLPI) In a short span of two years Shashidhar has creatively developed tools that have helped NRCLPI to spread awareness about the effects of lead through the breadth of the country. In a short span of two years, he has conceptualized programs such as LEADer (Lead Educator), LAP (Lead Awareness Program), SMILE (Seminar and Methods in Lead Education).STEP (Student Talent Exploration Projects) for the students. The effect of these programs has been significant. Over 10000 teachers have been empowered as LEADers. They in turn are able to spread this awareness to thousands of students around the country. QPEC – Quality Play Environment for Children – A new program that was designed and conceived by Shashidhar and has been successfully launched in Balbhavan, Bangalore.

 

Participated in the seminar on Lead in Paints by UNEP in Geneva in the year 2010. Visiting Prof to Zubieta University Lapaz Bolivia & Advisor of High Altitude Museum Zubeita University.
