Dr C V Anand

Dr C V Anand a PhD in Biochemistry has more than four decades of experience. He worked as Professor and Head of Biochemistry in PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Coimbatore, till 2013. He then worked in Elbit Medical Diagnostics and St Martha’s Hospital as a Consultant in Biochemistry. Presently, he is working as a Consultant in Biochemistry at the Cytecare Cancer Hospitals. He is the Academic Director of FQI.

Dr. Usha Anand

Dr. Usha Anand did her post-graduation in Biochemistry from JIPMER Pondicherry. She started her career as a biochemist at Southern Railway Headquarters Hospital in Chennai. She was a faculty in the Department of Biochemistry at M.S.Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore for 27 years. She started as a lecturer, held various positions, and then became a professor. She was involved in teaching UG and PG medical students, research activities as well as supervision of the clinical lab. She later moved over to PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore; as a Professor of Biochemistry. She has more than forty scientific publications in national and international journals. She has also published more than 30 poems in the international journal ‘Clinical Chemistry’ on various topics in clinical chemistry. She is an impanelled assessor for NABL.

She is a faculty of FQI and has been involved in conducting training programmes on ‘Internal Audit and Quality Management Systems’.

Dr. Jayaram N Iyengar

MBBS from Osmania University Hyderabad India in 1983.
MD in Pathology from PGIMER Chandigarh India in 1987. Was awarded Silver Medal in Pathology during that Academic year.

Dr. Anthony Thomas

Joined Prime group in 2003 and had been highly instrumental in the formation and development of Prime Diagnostic Center (later became Premier Diagnostic and Medical Center), the referral lab of the group. Member of Scientific Advisory Technical Committee of Emirates International Accreditation Center (EIAC); Board Member – Emirates Medical Association; International Member- CAP, CLSI, AMLA Graduation(1988-1992) and Post-graduation (1994-1997)from J.J.M Medical College, Karnataka, India.
Currently pursuing MSC in International Healthcare Leadership (IHL) at Manchester University’s Dubai Campus.

Dr. Sitaram Joshi

Accreditation Education Research & Scientific Services Centre (AERSSC), Nepal is an independent international and multi-economy accreditation body. It works to serve the global communities of businesses and consumers. AERSSC accredits independent third-party conformity assessment bodies (CABs) such as Testing Laboratories, Calibration Laboratories, and Medical Laboratories to ensure their competence to carry out specific tasks as per the International Standards. AERSSC is the registered legal entity in Nepal and operates as per ISO/IEC 17011. It is an independent, impartial and non-governmental body and makes no claim to be connected with any government. AERSSC is an Associate Member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and a Full Member of Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC). AERSSC is going to be evaluated for MRA Signatory by APLAC from 23 rd – 28th Sept. 2018 by APLAC through Lead Peer Evaluator, Prof. LHD Bandusoma of Srilanka Accreditation Board (SLAB), Srilanka.
Dr. Sitaram Joshi is the Founding CEO of AERSSC. He is also the former DG of the Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology (NBSM) and an expert on Metrology and Accreditation.

Dr. M.Parthiban

B.Sc.Chemistry, M.Sc.Biochemistry Madras University. Ph, D.Biomedical Sciences (Tamilnadu Dr.MGR Medical University).Lab director at Deepam Diagnostic center, Chennai. Retired from Madras Medical College, Government General Hospital in 2005, and then on working in the private sector. Has experience of more than 50 years in laboratory medicine as a teacher and lab professional.

Contributed 75 scientific articles in national and international journals. Presented 60 papers in National and international conferences.

Organized various CMEs and training in 15189 at Chennai. Trained in ISO 15189.2012. Impanelled Clinical Biochemistry Technical assessor for NABL. Got Trained as Lead Assessor at Nepal. Helped Govt of India for assessing certain Government laboratories in states of Tamilnadu, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh. Faculty in Foundation for Quality India for 15189.Diabetology course coordinator for Indian Medical Association, Tamilnadu. Translated 15189;2012 in the Tamil language. Two old Tamil poetry works were converted into prose forms.

Dr. T N Raghunath

Dr. T.N. Raghunath (M.Sc. Phd Biochemistry) is Technical director and chief faculty at Foundation for Quality (India). He is also Founder Trustee of Academy of Medical Laboratory Auditors (AMLA) He is having 30 +years of rich experience in the field of Clinical Biochemistry. He has worked in different capacity with Wockhardt Hospital, Narayana Hrudayalaya Bengaluru, Vijaya Diagnostics, Gokula Metropolis, SRL Fortis Bengaluru. He is a international Lead Assessor at NABL and published umpteen no of books.

Dr. S Muralidharan

Dr. S Muralidharan worked in St. John’s Medical College Hospital is a 1000 bedded hospital with most of the superspeciality departments attached. Dept of Microbiology offers Diagnostic services to all the patients of the Hospital and from other Hospitals and Nursing Homes in Bangalore, like Bacteriology involving culture for all the sample, routine serology, special serology like screening for Hepatitis markers, TORCH agents, screening for HIV detection is also being carried out on a routine basis.
Teaching:
The job involves teaching Microbiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students, MLT students (including Dialysis and Perfusion technology students) and Nursing students.

Dr. Sujatha Chandrasekaran

Dr. Sujatha Chandrasekaran is a Medical microbiologist with over 30 years of experience in diagnostics, clinical microbiology, and public health laboratory, including mycobacteriology. She is a member of the Technical and Accreditation Committee, Lead and Technical Assessor for laboratory accreditation as per ISO15189 for UAE, and Assessor for NABL.

Dr. Sujatha has published over 30 papers in national and international journals and contributed to few chapters in books.

Dr. Manisha Patwardhan

Dr. Manisha Patwardhan completed MD (Pathology) in 1995 along with DPB from Seth G.S Medical College& KEM Hospital Mumbai.
For over 28 years associated with Golwilkar Laboratories which is now A.G Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd in Pune and a senior faculty at FQI.
Her some of the interests and areas of work are Clinical Biochemistry, Immunoassays, Autoimmunity and Allergy. Process managements in large sized, multidepartment labs.
LIMS development for labs, etc.
She is having 23 years experience in the field of Lab Quality & Lab Accreditation. Technical assessor with NABL. Active role in training programs on ISO 15189 for more than 15 years.

Dr. Moushumi Saikia

DR.MOUSHUMI SAIKIA M.B.B.S. MD (Biochemistry) is with experience in clinical practice, clinical chemistry and immunology analysis, and laboratory management. Significant experience as a Medical Biochemist in clinical chemistry and immunology analysis, quality control, (ISO15189) Laboratory Management System , and clinical laboratory operations.
QUALITY INCHARGE OF LABORATORY MEDICINE, APOLLO HOSPITALS GUWAHATI. HAS BEEN INSTRUMENTAL IN ACHIEVING THE NABL ACCREDITATION OF THE LABORATORY SINCE 2012 . IMPLEMENTATION OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN THE LABORATORY.

Dr. R Ravikumar

Dr. R Ravikumar is currently working as Associate Dean, Faculty of Basic Sciences and professor of Neuromicrobiology, in National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, Bangalore. He has served the clinical microbiology community for over 25 years of his career. He has assessed many laboratories all across the country as a NABL assessor. Recently he has been awarded as an International lead assessor for accreditation of laboratories. He is the NABH co-ordinator for NIMHANS hospital and continuously working to improve the overall quality of the hospital. He is also involved in research in various fields of Microbiology. He is a member of many national and international bodies like the American Society for Microbiologists, the Quality Council of India, the Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists, the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists, European Society of Clinical Microbiology, and Infectious Diseases, International AIDS Society, etc. He is currently supervising 12 research projects and has around 60 publications in the field of clinical microbiology.

Dr. Nayana Ingole

Dr. Nayana Ingole is a Professor Additional of Microbiology department at TNMC & BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai.
Dr. Nayana Ingole is Professor In-charge of Molecular Laboratory at Kasturba Hospital.
Area of special interest: Virology, Molecular biology, Quality management.
Dr. Nayana Ingole has contributed for numerous national and international publications.
One of the Lead Auditors at FQI. A very eminent trainer.

Dr Annabel Dsouza Sekar

Dr. Annabel Sekar lives in Madurai, South India from where she manages the Aahana Solutions for Quality in healthcare. After she completed her under graduation in Medicine from the Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, she pursued her Masters in Business Administration specializing in Finance. She then did her Doctorate in Business Administration from Zurich, Switzerland and her area of specialization is Quality Systems in Healthcare in developing countries.

Dr. Sekar had been practicing Laboratory and Transfusion Medicine for more than 20 years in Madurai before turning into a full-time Quality professional. She is both, a NABH as well an International NABL assessor. She is at present, faculty for NABH and NABL at the Foundation for Quality (India) which is based in Bangalore. She is a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). She also is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in Healthcare and conducts training courses in Lean and Six Sigma for healthcare in India and Nepal.

Dr. Keyoor Gautam

Dr. Keyoor Gautam is a Pathologist and Chairman at Samyak Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd, “Nepal’s first ISO 15189 accreditated Pathology Laboratory. He has been vital in pioneering laboratory accreditation in the country. He did his MBBS from Saint Louis University, Philippines and MD from Kasturba Medical College, Manglore. He has helped establish international standard pathology labs in the country. He was the executive editor of the Journal of Pathology of Nepal. He has been working on awareness and testing on Lead poisoning in Nepal.

Dr. Vani Ravikumar

Dr. Vani Ravikumar has 25 years of experience in Laboratory Medicine & 15 years of Teaching Experience. She is also the Lead Assessor for ISO 15189:2012 – NABL, New Delhi. She has also been the Technical Assessor for ISO 15189:2012 – Histopathology, Cytology, Haematology& Clinical Pathology. Presently – Head OfLaboratory& Director- Operations, RV Metropolis, Bangalore.
Her Areas of interest are Gynec Cytology, Non Gynec Cytology, Surgical Pathology. She is an Academic –Speaker in various CMEs/Conferences. Conducted Annual PG Teaching Program/Slide Seminars every year, for the past ten years.

Dr Veena R

Dr Veena R, Pathologist with 19yrs experience, heads the Histopathology dept of a large reference lab in India attached to an Oncology hospital. The lab is accredited based on ISO 15189:2012.

 

She is an empaneled lead and technical assessor for ISO 15189:2012 standard, and has conducted over 70 assessments since last 8yrs. She holds Six sigma Greenbelt from IIT, Delhi. She also has done Post graduate course in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Texas University. She is an invited faculty in several scientific forums. She is the academic director for residency and fellowship programs in pathology. She has over 40 publications in journals of repute.

Prof. M K Lalitha

Professor M.K. Lalitha graduated in 1969 from Calicut Medical College, Kerala and received her MD in Microbiology from Christian Medical College, Vellore, Tamil Nadu in 1975. She joined the Microbiology department as a faculty at CMC, and worked until her retirement in March 2006. She joined the Madras Medical Mission, Chennai in April 2006 and served as Head Clinical Lab Services till her retirement in March 2011. She also served as an Advisor in Sree Balaji Medical College & Hospital, Chennai, facilitating NABL and NABH Accreditation Processes. She also serves as a member of Technical Advisory Group for multicentric projects in the field of Childhood Pneumonia, funded by ICMR, INCLEN, CDC etc. Dr. Lalitha has over 40 years of experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and she has undertaken numerous R&D projects. Among several awards the noteworthy among them is the prestigious Dr. BC Roy National award as an “Eminent Medical Teacher” which she received from the then President of India Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in the year 2004. She has about 200 publications in national and international journals. Dr. Lalitha continues to contribute towards the growth and development of Laboratory Medicine in our country through her involvement in the lab accreditation process as a Lead Assessor for NABL, Faculty Resource Person for the ISO 15189:2012 Standard, and member of the NABL criteria development committee.
